Travel and lifestyle photography is about helping people feel a place before they visit it. The light in a room first thing, the feel of a table set for lunch, the pace of a market, the quiet details that make somewhere stick. I create food-led travel and lifestyle imagery for brands, publications and destinations who want photos that feel warm, natural and true to the experience.
Much of my work happens where food and place overlap. That might be restaurants and cafés, producers and makers, hotels and retreats, or travel stories built around local culture. Sometimes the focus is the craft itself: hands preparing a dish, a team getting ready for service, ingredients arriving from a nearby supplier. Other times it's the wider picture, including interiors, landscapes, textures and the in-between moments that bring a story to life.
My approach is planned but not rigid. I'll arrive with a clear idea of what we need, then stay open to what's actually happening in front of me, because that's often where the most interesting images come from. The end result feels polished but lived in, with an editorial quality that works well across websites, social, press and brand campaigns.
I'm also mindful of telling stories with care. The materials, colour, light, people and everyday moments all matter. The aim is photography that feels respectful and honest, and gives your audience a genuine sense of time and place.
I'm comfortable working on location and fitting around real schedules. I can help shape a shot list that suits your goals and timings, and deliver a mix of hero images, storytelling shots and practical content across different formats and platforms.
If you're commissioning travel or lifestyle photography and want it to feel thoughtful and true to the experience, I'd love to hear about your brief.
